“This is the grand room,” he pulls me from my thoughts.

A grand room it is. I look around, and there are books lining the wall-length shelf. My feet patter against the hardwood floor as I peruse the room. There are two leather chairs and a fireplace, but the room is big enough to be a ballroom. The sheer curtains mask the ceiling to floor windows. I’m most intrigued by the black baby grand piano in the corner, and I smile.

“Come,” he pulls on my hand again and I’m led to his office, and a wicked idea comes to mind. I’ll have to save it for later. The office is not as big, but still spacious. A wooden desk is the center of attention with its well-crafted wood carvings. Just the two rooms alone are bigger than my ranch style house.

“This is where I work when I stay home,” he says, before leading us back upstairs.

He shows me the workout room, the bathroom, a spare bedroom, as well as his master room, which I’m already familiar with. One room, he doesn’t show me. The door is closed, I assume for good reason, so I don’t question it.

“I have a few things to do in my office, but after, I’m all yours if you want to hang around,” he suggests.

“Okay, if you want me to stay,” I say. “I’ll just use your shower while you work,” I tease.

“Damn, your body dripping water all over is very appetizing.” He adjusts the outside of his pants, like he’s hard just thinking about me naked in his shower.

I stifle a giggle and we go our separate ways, though I have a feeling he’s not going to get anything done today except me. Sliding into the big enough for two shower, I let the hot water cascade over me. The thought of Sly touching me again causes a craving deep inside me. I think he’s turned me into a sex fiend, but I’m not complaining.

After the shower, I see boxer shorts and a tee shirt laying out on the bed. Assuming they are for me, I put them on and throw my hair into a messy bun at the nape of my neck. Normally, no one in the light of day would ever see me like this, but something tells me Sly won’t mind this get-up. I head back to the room we danced in last night, the one that could easily be a grand ballroom.

As I walk along the edge of the room, I run my fingers over the books that line the wall. The piano in the corner catches my attention. I glide over to it, sitting on the bench as I stroke the keys. It’s been so long since I played. When I was little, I took piano lessons every week, all the way up to high school. I was quite good at it. Hell, I was practically a pro, but then I met my now ex-husband and put my piano playing days behind me.

I stroke the keys more methodically as the music in my head begins. My fingers remember the verses and which key is which. The feeling of playing again is euphoric yet calming. I get lost in the music that echoes through the room, then bring the song to a close.

The sound of clapping brings me back to reality as I snap my eyes to Sly. He’s leaning against the side of the doorway, his ankles crossed over the other and a grin plastered across his face. I feel my cheeks heat up and wonder how long he’s been watching me.

“Please don’t stop on my account. That was beautiful. You look beautiful playing.” He walks over to me. “In fact, I think that is the sexist thing I’ve ever seen.” He bends down and kisses me.

I close the lid over the keys and look up at him. “You just caught the end of it,” I tell him.

“No, I think I caught the whole thing.” His dopey grin appears.

Well, that’s embarrassing. He was watching while I was lost in the music.

  “It’s a beautiful piano.”

“You are full of surprises, Raine. What other talents are you hiding?” he asks.

“I can’t give away all my secrets.”

“You’re one intriguing creature.” He pulls me up so our bodies are flush together, and my heart kicks up as he looks at me through hooded eyes.

His hand finds my ass as he pulls me closer and tighter against him, his mouth covering mine. I can feel the burning desire. He buries his lips on my neck and shoves the boxers I’m wearing down, and they fall around my ankles. I loosen the string of his pants, but he grips my hands, stopping me. I need him like I’ve never needed anyone or anything.

He flings the shirt over my head and swiftly props me up on the piano. He’s planning on fucking me right here. Me having sex on a piano? Never in a million years…Oh my, he means business. My body is roaring with adrenaline and the weight of his body over mine. The hunger in his eyes is clear.

“Fuck, I forgot to grab a condom.”

“I’m on the pill, it’s okay,” I assure him. I take it religiously. I’m not exactly sure why, it’s just always been a habit. And if it ain’t broke, it doesn’t need fixing. Next thing I know, he’s deep inside me and I’m moaning like I’ve never had sex before.

“Oh my god,” I moan while he pins my arms against the piano.

He gets on his knees and rubs my clit while he’s inside me. I make sure to keep my arms flat against the piano as my body relishes in this blissful haze.

“Your body is mine. You love the way I fuck you, don’t you?” he growls. “Tell me your body belongs to me,” he demands.

I know a nod in agreement won’t suffice, so I tell him, “It’s yours, only yours.”

He leans down and devours my lips, darting his tongue inside. I wrap my arms around his muscled back. His mouth hovers over mine, and together, our bodies unite as one and we both come together.

  Chapter Eight

  RAINE

My legs feel like Jell-O as Sly helps me to my feet. Something about him feeds my soul; he’s slowly bringing me back to life, allowing me to feel something other than pain. However, guilt still hangs over me. Happiness still seems wrong.

“You have quite the appetite, Mister,” I tease.

“Get used to it. You’re staying until you have to go back to work,” he states. He isn’t asking. “Now I’m famished, and we need to fuel up for later.”

Oh dear god, what does he have planned for later?

He looks down at me and smirks while I follow him to the kitchen. “I’m going to clean up quick,” I mention as he swings the refrigerator door open. In the bathroom, I clean myself up and splash some water on my face, trying to cool down. In the mirror, I see sad brown eyes staring back at me. Come on, Raine, get it together, and get your head on straight.

I straighten myself back up and meet Sly in the kitchen. He’s making sandwiches and adding potato chips to the plate. He fills two glasses with soda and meets me at the table, placing the plate in front of me.

“Where’d you learn to play like that?” he asks about the piano.

“Oh, I started playing from the time I was little all the way through high school.”

  “And you stopped?”

I dot my mouth with the napkin. “I stopped when I met my now ex-husband. I had to get a real job, and that was kind of left to the wayside.”

“That’s a shame. You’re really good,” he assures me.

“Thanks.” I take another bite of my sandwich.

“I hope that’s not the last time I hear you play. It was such a beautiful fucking sight.” He reaches over, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. “I want to take you out tonight. Would you accompany me to my company party?”

I swallow hard. My ex flashes in my brain, and I realize I haven’t told Sly that he works for his company. What do I do? What will I wear?

“I already had a dress delivered earlier for you. It’s in the bedroom if you want to try it on,” he instructs.

Like a kid in a candy store, I fly up the stairs and I hear Sly chuckle at my excitement. In the bedroom, I see the skirt and top, and the label reads Donna Karan. I know it’s expensive. Honestly, I don’t know how I missed this earlier. Thank god my legs are already shaved. The fabric is soft as I run my fingers over the white skirt. It has splashes of black, and the top is an all-black halter. Stripping my clothes off, I try to gauge my figure in the mirror. Can I pull off this outfit? The space between the top and skirt
means I’ll be baring some of my midriff. Thank goodness running has actually paid off—my stomach is flat. The skirt flows and hits just below the knee.

The top is tight, showing off my cleavage. I’ll be sporting insane cleavage. But the black peep toe shoes are my favorite and go with the outfit so well. I wonder how Sly pulled them off, or when exactly. I’m in a compromising position going to this party. I know for a fact he’s never attended the parties he throws for his employees. I mean, I’d know because he is just too damn gorgeous not to notice, and I would have noticed.

I pull my hair down and fix it into a neater bun, a little to the side at the nape of my neck, letting a few strands hang loose. Digging in my handbag, I grab some perfume spray, squirting it on my neck and wrists. Looking at the final product in the mirror, I barely recognize myself, in a good way.

Sly comes into the room and catches me looking at myself in the mirror. He stops in his tracks when he sees all of me. “Jesus Christ, you look like a fucking movie star. Audrey Hepburn comes to mind.” I smile. He comes up behind me and wraps his arms around my waist. I should tell him about Beau, but I’m at a loss for words at the moment. And I don’t want to ruin the moment. He kisses my neck and inhales. “Mmmm, you smell good too.”

He walks to his closet and pulls out a suit. He strips right in front of me and I ogle his naked body. “I’m going to shower quickly.” He slaps my ass on the way in, causing me to giggle.

I make my way downstairs, and I still can’t believe I’m dressed like this and in the company of such a hot-blooded, sexy man.

“The car’s waiting,” he says as he comes downstairs to meet me. “You look so beautiful.”

“You look handsome yourself. And thanks for this.” I smooth my hand over my skirt. “I don’t know how you pulled off getting this Donna Karen outfit, but I love it.”

“It’s from her 2015 Fall Collection, so I’m glad you like it.”

He has expensive taste, that’s for sure. I’ve never felt so glamorous. He holds my hand as we sit in the limo and sweeps his thumb over mine.

“What exactly will this party entail?” I ask.

“Dinner, dancing, and a finding a corner to fuck you in.”

He did not just say that. I raise my eyebrow at him and he squeezes my knee, where his hand is now resting.

We arrive at the hotel that’s hosting the event and the driver opens the door for us. There’s even a red carpet and photographers. Sly moves his hand to the small of my back as we pose for pictures. The barrage of flashing light bulbs blind me and I can’t see who I’m looking at, so Sly and I just smile at each other. He holds his arm up, signaling no more photos, and we make our way inside.

This party spared no expense. The venue alone is huge, and there are so many people here. It’s not like the other company parties I’ve been to with my ex. This is far larger. Sly’s hand rests on my back as we walk into the main room. It looks like a wedding reception. Everyone is seated or finding their seats. Sly and I find ours in the corner of the room.

When we sit down, he leans close and whispers in my ear. “Sorry I sprung this on you last minute.”

“It’s fine. You made it up with his outfit.” I smile.

“You look stunning, definitely the most beautiful woman in the room,” he states.

  I blush.

After eating the meal, we roam around the room as Sly talks and shakes hands with various people, and he introduces me only as his date, Raine. I’m getting strange looks from some of the folks I’ve met before, but it’s like they can’t pinpoint it.

“Raine?” Oh god, the sound of a familiar voice.

“Beau,” I say as Sly gives me a quizzical look.

“Wow, I wasn’t expecting to see you here,” he says nervously as he eyes Sly. “Mr. Wilkes.” He shakes his hand.

  Sly’s jaw is clenching. “Beau.”

“This is my ex-husband,” I say.

“I gathered as much. Have a good evening, Beau,” he says.

Wandering back to the table, no one else is sitting around us. We are alone in our corner.

“I’m sorry I never mentioned my ex works for you,” I rush the words out of my mouth. “I could never find the right time to tell you.”

Sly doesn’t say anything. He is seething mad. His jaw is still clenching. I watch as he downs a shot he grabbed off a tray that a waiter was passing around. He yanks on my arm, and I can barely keep up with him as he walks swiftly.

He pulls me in the coat closet and lifts my skirt. “You’ve been naughty, Raine. Time for your punishment,” he whispers from behind me. He rips my thong down, and I bite down on my lower lip. He smacks my ass hard and grips it. He smacks it again, and I do my best not to make a sound, as it will prolong the punishment. With each smack, my clit gets wet. My skin lights up under his touch.

He pulls my head back. “Don’t fucking lie to me again,” he hisses in my ear.

Technically, I didn’t lie. I lean my head back against his shoulder. He sticks his finger inside my wetness, and I practically come.

“Now, straighten yourself up. I’ll finish you later,” he demands, spinning me around and kissing me hard and aggressively. It’s a sweet torture.

  SLY

How can she just lie to me? Technically, it’s lying by omission. How could she not mention her ex works for my company? I’m sure I’ve freaked her out by dragging her in this coat closet, but so far, she hasn’t tried to run. If she slapped me, I’d deserve it. My anger got the best of me.

We straighten ourselves up and walk out like nothing happened. She leaves her ripped thong, and a smirk plays across my face.

“I wanted to tell you, but…”

I cut her off. “But you didn’t. Now let’s try to enjoy the rest of the evening,” I tell her.

I take her hand and kiss the back of it, then lead her on the dance floor to a slow song, sung by Jessie Ware. It’s called “Say You Love Me,” and it’s quite a romantic song with a powerful meaning behind it. She and I don’t speak; instead, we’re locked onto each other’s eyes. She breaks the trance and leans her head on my shoulder as we swing ours bodies in unison. Her perfume wafts up to me, and I inhale it in as I close my eyes, burning this moment in my brain.

God, she deserves way more than I can offer. I don’t deserve her. And I don’t know what this is between us, but the thought of letting her go sickens me. The thought of any other man touching her sickens me.

“Did I scare you at all?” I can’t help but be concerned of her feelings.

She tilts her head to look at me and she smiles. “No, I found it quite hot actually.”

I smile and immediately cover her mouth with mine, my tongue swirling with hers. Nothing else exists around us, just us swaying to the music, my arms around her waist, and my burning desire for her. So far, she’s accepted everything I’ve given her, everything I can offer. How am I this fucking lucky?

“It’s too bad it was dark inside the coat closet. I couldn’t see your ass turning red,” I whisper.

“I’m sure it was definitely red,” she quips. “It still stings.” She giggles and buries her face in my chest. Raine is the sexiest woman I have ever met.

The music changes to a fast tempo song. “Sorry, I have two left feet when it comes to dancing any faster than a slow song.” I drag her off the dance floor and find our seat. “Are you okay while I go to the restroom?”

“Sure, I’ll be fine,” she waves me off.

Standing at the urinal, I unzip and relieve myself, when all of a sudden, Beau appears next to me.

“I hope you didn’t go all out for Raine’s sake. She’s not that kind of girl.” He smirks.

Motherfucker! “I know exactly what kind of girl she is. She seems to enjoy my dick quite nicely,” I hiss. His face turns bright red, and he can’t get away fast enough.

I chuckle as I wash my hands, and then stop at the bar to get Raine and myself another drink. Back at
the table, I hand her a drink.

“Are you trying to get me drunk?” she asks.

“I don’t need to get you drunk to make you come,” I tease in her ear.

  Chapter Nine

  RAINE

Sly is so dirty, but it turns me on like nothing else. He makes me feel like the sexiest woman on earth. I got a lot of compliments on my outfit too. Oh, it’s just Donna Karan.

“What do you say about us ditching the rest of the party?” he asks.

“I’d say, why aren’t we in the car yet? I’ve had this pulsating sensation between my legs since the coat closet.” I can’t believe the words that come out of my mouth sometimes.

He smirks and immediately stands, taking my hand in his. On the way out, I see Beau and he gives me a weird look, but I shake the thought out of my head as we enter the limo.

“Thanks for accompanying me. I hate attending parties, but you made it so much better. And that dress, dear lord.” His eyes scan my body. “I can’t wait to get you naked and underneath me.” A Cheshire grin spreads across his face.

The car pulls in front of my house, and I give Sly a confused look. “I thought you’d like to grab some of your own things, and you can keep them at my house if you want. I don’t want to pressure you or anything, but I have a feeling you’ll be there a lot,” he states.

“Good idea. Are you coming inside?”

“Sure,” he says, following me to my door.

Inside, I immediately grab a bag and throw some underthings inside, as well as everyday clothing. But then this overwhelming urge comes over me—I need to see Ava’s room. Pain slams inside my chest. It’s a need that must be fulfilled to make it through the next few days.

“Come on, let me show you something,” I tell Sly, taking his hand in mine. He doesn’t question my hastiness, or the rush I make to her room.
